Rumpke waste wheelers hold as much as three standard trash cans and have an attached lid. Residents using a waste wheeler must place it at the curb each week. Each residence may have three 32-gallon cans (or equivalent)collected at the rear door each week. Trash exceeding that limit must be set at the curb in standard cans or bags. 2. Each residence may request a Rumpke 95-gallon waste wheeler,which must be set at the curb for collection. Please see the aachedpostcard to request a waste wheeler. Yard Waste Leaves and grass clippings will be picked up on regularly scheduled days if placed at the curb in 30-gallon yard waste paper or clear plastic bags or containers marked 'yard waste only' (no alley pickup). *Note Yard waste must not contain any trash or garbage and if mixed cannot be collected. Recycling Please place your recycling bin at the curb on the same day as trash. If your recycling bin has been lost or damaged, please contact Rumpke for a new one 568-3800. Review the enclosed list of acceptable materials and recycle as much as possible! Holiday Schedule If your regular collection day occurs on or after a recognized holiday, your service will be delayed by one day. The following week, the schedule will return to normal. Holidays which occur on Saturday or Sunday will not affect service. Recognized holidays are Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Chris tmas and New Years Day. Collection Guidelines: Residents using standard rear door service must place cans at the back door or garage. If possible, cans should be clearly visible from the street. Residents using Rumpke waste wheeler must place at the curb for collection. All trash must be properly contained in 32-gallon trash cans, standard trash bags or a Rumpke waste wheeler. Rumpke will not collect trash placed in cardboard boxes. Yard waste consists of leaves, grass clippings, brush and branches. Brush or branches must be contained or budled, not to exceed 4 feetin length or 3 inches in diameter, or weigh more than 75 pounds. Lumber, logs, stumps, firewood, uncut tree branches and large amounts are not considered yard waste and will not be collected by Rumpke. Christmas trees will be picked up on regularly scheduled days if placed at the street. Residences with an excess of three (3) 32-gallon cans at the rear may place additional cans or bags at the curb for collection. Rumpke employees are not permied to enter fenced in areas, garages or basements. Garbage containers must be placed outside any fenced area. Rumpke will collect one large item per collection day (such as maresses, couches and chairs). Please contact Rumpke 24-hours in advance to request a bulk item pick-up. Appliances containing refrigerants require special handling. Please contact Rumpke for details. Following heavy snowfall or during icy conditions, it will be necessary to carry your garbage cans to the street for pickup. Please place your recycling bin at the curb on the same day as trash collection. If your recycling bin has been lost or damaged, please contact Rumpke for a new one at 568-3800.
